The African Green Jobs Taxonomical Guide

A glossary of global green economy terms, providing an Africa-contextualised reference, built around the Africa Consolidated Green Taxonomy Guide (ACGTG) and the African Continental Qualifications Framework’s (ACQF) Green Dashboard Africa, and grounded in real examples drawn from across the continent, from Kenya’s geothermal fields and Rwanda’s forest restoration programmes to Nigeria’s green bonds and Ghana’s circular waste enterprises. The guide aims to give anyone working in or entering Africa’s green economy a shared, accurate, and locally rooted vocabulary.

The Africa Green Jobs and Skills Toolkit

This toolkit helps stakeholders turn green growth ambition into practical pathways for job creation and enterprise development. It identifies opportunities across six priority sectors, connects financing and policy to real economic outcomes, and helps align skills and TVET systems with market demand. Drawing on African case studies, the Toolkit also provides practical approaches to strengthen local manufacturing and value addition, support youth, women, informal workers and communities as economic actors, and track progress through clear indicators and accountability systems. At its core, it helps connect the policy, finance, skills, market and social systems needed to build Africa’s green economy.
